I had the privilege of capturing Alisa and Joao's special day. Seeing that their wedding was scheduled smack-dab in the middle of winter, we held our breath on what the weather would be like. Well, as you guessed it - RAIN .... no, actually it STORMED with THUNDER & LIGHTNING to boot!
If someone were to ask me one thing I've learned and benefited from this season, I would say that preparation is one of the keys to success. You can never prepare enough when it comes to inclement weather, so I pray for sun and prep for rain.
I've had at least 3 weddings this year affected by torrential weather and I've also come to appreciate the mysterious, romantic, photos that you get with that type of weather. I almost wish more B/G's were willing to venture into the winter months to explore this side of weddings, which is often frowned upon.
With all of that being said, Alisa and Joao were amazing to work with. Their venue was simply stunning and I think the weather adding a mystic beauty that they'll remember forever.
Hats off to my uber-righteous team!!!! Thank you for a KILLER 2010! Let's take 2011 and blast off to the moon!!!
