I take photos weekly and sometimes on a daily basis yet I rarely find myself IN FRONT of the camera.
I think its safe to say that most photographers face the same dilemma. I obviously believe in beautiful, artistic photos yet how many do I have of myself?
I made it a goal to create self portraits at least every other year or when I get inspired to photograph myself (which is hardly ever).
I do feel that it is a great way to step into the clients shoes and remember what it feels like to photographed albeit photographing yourself is a wee bit different.
Either way ..... here are the results of my very own photo session.

This project has been a LONG TIME in the making!!!!!!
It took months of preparation with "blood, sweat, tears and laughter" but we finally made it a reality.
I just wanted to thank all the SUPER AMAZING people for making my vision come to life!!!

Meg and Brian - ENGAGED!

I got to do something with Meg and Brian that I rarely get to do .... that is to spend THREE HOURS on their Superior Engagement Session.
I wish every couple would invest in a Superior Engagement Session. Not only did they include their beloved pooch Bella in the photo session but we also had the time to feature several amazing San Francisco locations. It really gave Meg and Brian time to get comfortable in front of the camera. By the time the session was complete, they were like professional models needing no direction whatsoever!!!
We even had the benefit of having the wonderful, the amazing and unique "Ala Assistant" at their session, which was another AWESOME additive ;)
We had good ol San Francisco summer evening weather and lots of fun.
Can't wait to the big day!

I enjoyed an early evening E-Session with Shala and Steven.
I love the chemistry that they brought to the camera. They joked and laughed with one another, which I do believe is one of the keys to a truly successful relationship.
The lighting was MAGNIFICENT, the weather was PERFECT and they were ADORABLE.
Count down to the wedding, guys!
And as usual, a couple of my favorite shots of the day.
